A short diversion of part of the John Muir Way cycle route to the south of Falkirk will be in place from around 26 November for approximately two weeks. This is to allow for harvesting work at Glenrig Wood by Callendar Estates. Please follow local diversion signage on the ground. See map here of the diverted route.
Described east-bound, the JMW cycle route will be closed just before it heads south to cross Lochgreen Road, with users diverted through Canada Wood and north to join the main JMW walking route, before heading south again to pick up the Battle of Falkirk Trail and rejoin the JMW cycle route where it crosses Slamannan Road. The diversion will apply in both directions.
