On 2^nd and 3^rd December, the Innocent Railway Path is closed between its junctions with East Parkside and Duddington Road West, to allow for inspection work by Historic Environment Scotland. John Muir Way users should avoid the closure by following the diversion route shown on this map.

The John Muir Way is closed along Duddingston Low Road and the Innocent Railway, between Holyrood Park Road and Duddingston Road West, due to a risk of rock fall.

Please follow the alternative route via Dalkeith Road, Peffermill Road and Kingshaugh, shown on this map.

The diversion is temporary and is not signed on the ground. We will update the status of the trail as soon as the issue is addressed.
