This business is Good To Go!
We’re Good To Go” is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

Due to access restrictions in place as a precautionary measure while we undertake high level masonry inspections, there is currently no visitor access to the castle. The castle grounds are open.

Climb to the battlements of the last of the grand medieval castles and marvel at its scale. Set high on a cliff edge and featuring a massive red sandstone curtain wall, Tantallon Castle was home to the Red Douglas dynasty. Enjoy amazing views over the North Sea to the Bass Rock and its large seabird colonies and look up at the mighty curtain wall – the best example of castle architecture from the 1300s anywhere in Scotland.
