This business is Good To Go!
We’re Good To Go” is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

The castle grounds are open and we are delighted to welcome you back. The castle remains closed.

Climb to the battlements of the last of the grand medieval castles and marvel at its scale. Set high on a cliff edge and featuring a massive red sandstone curtain wall, Tantallon Castle was home to the Red Douglas dynasty. Enjoy amazing views over the North Sea to the Bass Rock and its large seabird colonies and look up at the mighty curtain wall – the best example of castle architecture from the 1300s anywhere in Scotland.

Admission:

Entry to the castle grounds is free, but we advise booking in advance to guarantee entry. We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
