A Visit Scotland 4* award winning bed and breakfast located right on the John Muir Way comprising two self-contained suites.
This former Gamekeepers cottage is over three hundred years old and is set in open countryside on the edge of the idyllic deer park at Hopetoun House near South Queensferry.
It is just a short walk south from Hopetoun House and the many filming locations used in the OUTLANDER tv program including LALLYBROCH are a short walk from the cottage.
Parkhead House offers unique overnight cottage stays within your own suite but with the added benefit of welcoming hosts and a great Scottish breakfast!
We have two suites, our ground floor Iona room for two people, and our first floor Harris suite for four. You can reach us through the Hopetoun Deer Park, and we are around 300m from the John Muir Way route through the park.
Our local pub (The fat Pheasant) is a short walk from the cottage in Newton Village.
The cost of a suite is around £150-£250 per room per night depending on the time of year.
We are open all year with a self-check-in system for arrival.
