Located at 30 Colquhoun Square in the heart of Helensburgh, we’re open from 9 o’clock Monday to Saturday and 10 on a Sunday through until late at night: serving breakfast, morning coffees (and a home made scone or two), afternoon cream teas and inspired, seasonal à la carte bistro menus which showcase the best local produce.
Our courtyard at the rear is a perfect sun trap (when it shines!) and is partially covered with heaters making it a fab place to enjoy al fresco dining or a drink. The terrace at the front is the perfect spot to people watch, enjoy a casual beer or a wee dram or go all in and have lunch or dinner (there’s heaters too!).
Looking for a post-work drink then pull up a stool at the bar and perhaps snack on a homemade sausage roll or crunch some pork crackling.
We’ve even got our own wine shop with over 100 bottles for you to explore and take your new-discoveries home!

We occupy a corner of Helensburgh’s Colquhoun Square: it’s central, easy to find and located close to car parks and public transport links. We look forward to saying “Hello” to you at Sugar Boat, 30 Colquhoun Square soon.
Whilst we are more than happy to welcome walk-in guests – should we have availability at the time – to save any possibility of disappointment, we recommend that you book in advance.
Opening Hours
OPEN MONDAY TO SUNDAY FROM 9am (10am on Sundays).
Breakfast is Monday – Saturday 9am – 11.30am & Sundays 10am – 12.00 midday
Lunch is Monday – Saturday noon – 3pm & Sunday’s 12.30pm – 3.30pm
Dinner is Monday – Sunday 5.30pm – 8.45pm (Sunday’s last order 7.15pm)
